As the mother of 2 teens (and a tween) it’s so hard to find relatable, enjoyable ways to bring Christ into our lives. The stories are clear, accessible and engaging - which is no small feat given the subject matter. It has sparked many discussions at the dinner table, and that’s worth it right there. What I like most about this book, is that it’s so short and simple. The author made the book super easy to read. I love how it just get straight to the point and focus on the main lesson from the Bible. I also enjoy the Bible verse that was added into the book. Now that that’s out of the way, I really enjoyed this book. I’m always a little hesitant when it comes to anything involving the Bible or Christianity, but I was pleasantly surprised. I could definitely see this being a book that would have been used in my teen Bible study group (back in the day). Honestly, I think it’s a brilliant way to make it more accessible to younger Christians, as I know from experience the Bible can feel slow and boring when you’re young. I can get started on a chapter, but can never finish it because I’m just trying to relate it to my own life— i struggle and I put the Bible down every time. This is a great way to read along side the Bible because it describes what the people are going through and what God is telling them in a relatable way.
